Misha is a Russian-trained engineer, living in Denmark. He works with specialist medical consultants, diet, movement, and Buteyko Breathing to achieve (literally) life-saving outcomes. He will be unveiling his new concept, ‘The Five Stage Rocket’ for addressing allostatic resilience and metabolic syndrome. He’ll also be leading a movement workshop.
The mechanisms that our body may choose to maintain homeostasis, can be planned, organized, well-founded, and healthy. They may also be just panic, with a disparate group of systems, clinging to function by their teeth and nails only. Which do we want? Is there a choice? If there’s a choice, what steps do we put in place to make the right
choices for the right outcomes? If we want resilience in our allostasis, and indeed do we? Whom do we ask? Well, Misha of course. Out of the entire BBEA, who else is going to come up with a ‘Five Stage Rocket’, to explain a metabolic concept? Food and movement have been the key to the conference, as they are the keys to health. Each can, however, get in the way of the other and understanding what makes our metabolism work well and what gets in the way is vital. Just as would be understanding what emotional or biomechanical obstructions there may be to lung function. Allostatic resilience helps us understand better how or why our best intentions may or may not be working. Misha will help us understand allostatic resilience.
